We’re finally getting to pull some carrots, and the cucumbers are winding down.
Sometime back we actually split our cucumber crop. We had a 6ft row of Sumter cucumbers but we then split that into (2) 3ft rows, transplanted out 3ft of Sumter cucumbers we gave away, and planted 3ft of Marketmore’s.
Unfortunately the latter initially grew well but were then infested by a fungus or mildew. I may have also contributed by letting them grow along the ground and not getting them up onto a trellis soon enough. Anyway, the Marketmore’s have had some small growths but have yet to yield anything full grown. There is some fresh green leaves but it may just be too late overall.
