Not sure why the one carrot is the color of a beet but I will investigate. Carrots are smallish because I was pruning them from some others I want to get big. Also noticed I have 3 eggplant fruits growing on the one plant I planted from a well developed seedling. All others I have grown from seed have yet to get very big.
[Edit: The beet color is only on the exterior. Inside it was carrot orange and the taste was just fine. It turns out that there is a thing called a Dragon Carrot offered by the same seed company and it is likely a seed was mixed into my garden mix.]
